kopce
So called "faked hills" - when two of them are relics of pagan times, and two others are memorials of famous Poles.

Mound of Krak -  built in honour of Prince Krak, legendary founder of Krakow (get there by tram number 3 or 13 from the city centre in about 20 minutes).
Mound of Wanda - built in honour of legendary Prncess Wanda who sacrified and threw herself to Vistula instead of marrying German prince. This "kopiec" one can find in Nowa Huta (but it is a lowest and, we think, the less popular one).
Mound of Kosciuszko - hero of Polish wars of independence (as well as American, wasn`t he?) - to best way to get there is to walk from Salwator (5 minutes by tram from Old Town) - it takes about half an hour but it is a beuatiful walk in every season [find it on a map below].
Mound of Pilsudski - the most important person in a process of regainning independence by Poland, and then Naczelnik (Governor) of Poland. To get there... walk through Wolski Lasek (forest) - from Zoo, Bielany Monastery, or castle in Przegorzaly. It seems to be far... but it is not :) Just enjoy walking!

Proszę czekać, trwa ładowanie mapy.
