The monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Krakow Lagiewniki was founded in 1891.
Then Saint M. Faustina Kowalska lived and died here - and through Saint Faustina Lord Christ gave to the whole world a message of the Divine Mercy, which worship dynamic expansion was launched by beatfication and cannonisation of Sister Faustina.
A new church was consecrated in 2002 by Pope John Paul II. Today it is a very important centre of pilgrimage.
How to get there: by tram 8,19 or 22 from the city centre (it is less than 25 minutes).
