Kazimierz
Fouded in 1335 by the King Kasimir III, Kazimierz was a twin city of Krakow. To say more: it was a city-island, between two branches of Vistula (the second/northern has been filled in 19th century - now Aleja Dietla runs instead of the river).

Yet Kazimierz is better know as a Jewish District - since 15th century till the Second World War.

Today it is again full of life, pubs and cafes. It is really popular and a bit of snobbish ;).
